DILLIMAX

dillimax-2

For ultra-high loads in earthmoving machines, offshore and structural steel

Ultra-high mechanical strength, but nonetheless extremely tough and exceptionally easy to work and weld – these properties make DILLIMAX the ideal solution for slender machine designs and load-bearing structures for the heaviest loads, where high precision and uncompromising safety are needed.

The strengths of DILLIMAX

  • DILLIMAX is available in a large number of different variants – up to minimum yield strengths of 1,100 MPa, in plate thicknesses of up to 290 mm, and also in the form of Grade E to meet extreme toughness requirements at temperatures of -60 °C.
  • We guarantee for the widely used DILLIMAX 690T grade significantly higher Charpy V-notch toughnesses than specified in the EN 10025, Part 6, and ASTM A514 standards, assuring you of additional safety against cracking during processing and use than in the case of standard grades.
  • You benefit from the high cleanness and homogeneity of all DILLIMAX steels, with an in-works UT ultrasonic guarantee over and above the applicable standard (S1 E1 in accordance with EN 10160) and extremely low limits for phosphorus and sulphur contents.
  • Despite these steels’ high mechanical strength, their low carbon equivalents permit sure and cost-effective welding.
  • Customers can, if they wish, also agree with us strict ultrasonic-inspection requirements and guaranteed properties in the plate-thickness direction (Z grade in accordance with EN 10164) for extremely thick plates.
  • DILLIMAX can also be ordered to DIPLAN specifications to assure excellent flatness across the entire steel surface. DILLIMAX TL assures ultra-tight thickness tolerances for crane booms.
  • Thanks to its exceptionally homogenous internal properties in even extremely thick plates, DILLIMAX is approved in accordance with DNV and ABS standards, for example, for particularly sensitive offshore applications.

First choice specialists keep our DILLIMAX steels in stock for you worldwide.
