Dillinger heavy plate for
Australia’s largest offshore rig
Steel Angel
The Angel natural gas and condensate field, discovered in 1971, is located some 130 kilometers off the Dampier Coast of Western Australia. It is now to be exploited using an unmanned platform of the same name, which is Australia’s largest. The platform is to be remote-controlled from the North Rankin A platform, fifty kilometers distant. The steel for Angel is being supplied by Dillinger: 12,000 tonnes of heavy plate in a range of grades.
