Dillinger heavy plate for the
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
More than just a sports venue
Home for the Premier League Football Club Tottenham Hotspur (London), the new stadium is the heart of the 20-year Northumberland Development Project (NDP) aiming to revitalize a very deprived area and involving also the construction of commercial spaces, residential units, cinema, club offices, a health center, school spaces, a public square, a 180 bed hotel as well as visitor attractions including a museum and a sky walk to the roof of the stadium.
Innovative, pioneering and sustainable design
The stadium, the second largest in the Premier League with a capacity of 62,062 spectators, impresses not only because of its multi-use facilities but above all because of its asymmetrical shape and sculpted appearance.
Combining cutting-edge techniques and technology, it sets a new standard in stadium design. Among all its innovative features, the most impressive is its retractable 22 t natural grass field, which can be replaced in 30 minutes by a synthetic grass pitch underneath enabling the hosting of concerts, American Football matches and other events.
Dillinger steel supports the most advanced stadium feature in the world
This unique sliding and dividing process is ensured by three steel trays running along the pitches for which Dillinger supplied 1,120 t heavy plates in the grades S355J0, S355J2+N and S355NL in thicknesses up to 70 mm.
