Dillinger heavy plates for the
viaduct Lochkov

The viaduct Lochkov forms the centerpiece of the southern part of Prague‘s bypass highway. After completion it will help shifting the transit traffic out of the center of Prague. Due to its integral construction the viaduct Lochkov serves as excellent example for innovative bridge building. Its steel composite superstructure as well as its truss frame with inclined piles illustrate once again, how architectural demands on elegance and esthetics can be rendered possible by using innovative technical solutions (f.e. lamella joints). The viaduct spans the valley in a height of 65 m and the single spans of the 423.5 m long steel construction measure 70.00 – 78.75 – 101.50 – 92.75 und 80.50 m. Dillinger Hütte GTS delivered for this impressive construction circa 1,150 t heavy plates in grades S355J2+N, S355K2+N, and S355NL.
